Welcome to Eclipse Season! Embrace the magic of the first eclipse on the Virgo/Pisces axis. The Pisces Lunar Eclipse offers a glimpse into the transformative journey of the upcoming Virgo-Pisces Eclipse cycle starting next year. This partial lunar eclipse, occurring at the 25th degree of Pisces during the full moon, prompts us to reflect on the past six months since the Pisces new moon for a moment of insight.
Embarking on an 18-month cycle, we are just at the threshold of what this Eclipse cycle holds for us. Like celestial surprises, Eclipses may evoke uncertainty, yet this eclipse aligns with Jupiter in Gemini. Despite challenges from Mercury and Saturn, Jupiter receives positive energy from Venus in Libra.
The Pisces Lunar Eclipse signals the end of a chapter, offering closure to lingering issues from earlier in the year. While the eclipse may bring intense emotions and a need to release certain aspects of our lives, trust that Eclipses guide us to where we need to be.
In the gentle waters of Pisces, rely on your inner wisdom as your guiding light. Stay attuned to your intuition and consciously choose the energies you allow into your space. Remember, this September is destined for greatness, so start planting the seeds of your dreams. Embrace the upcoming season of abundance and growth!
Below are some ideas for how you can celebrate the Full Moon and the Eclipse!
Making Moon Water
Embrace the transformative power of Moon Water, a divine elixir infused with the celestial energies of the moon. This ancient ritual has been revered by pagans and witches for generations, connecting us to the wondrous forces of the universe. Trust the magic of a Full Moon in Pisces to guide you in creating your own moon water. Let me now unveil my personal method for this sacred practice:
You will need:
- Silver or Black bowl for the water (You need to be able to see the moon reflected in the water)
- Living Water (not from the tap)
- White Candle
- Moon Magick Incense and Luna Oil
- Water bottle or Jar for the water (optional)
Creating Moon Water
This is best done outside. Be sure you can see the Full Moon from where you are doing the ceremony, as you will need to capture the moon’s reflection in the water.
- Create sacred space in your favorite method. Be sure that you have all of the ceremony components with you. You can create a small temporary altar outside, and adding moonstone and amethyst can also be helpful.
- Light your incense and charge your candle using your oil. When you charge the candle, be sure your intent is clear to charge the water with the Moon Energy.
- Light your candle and pour water into the bowl, focusing on drawing energy from the Full Moon into the water.
- You will use the water to catch the reflection of the moon. As you do this, visualize the energy of this full moon coming in and blessing the water for you.
- Take as long as you need to do this. I generally spend about 15 minutes drawing the Moon into the water.
- You can then leave the bowl out overnight (I generally will put a transparent cover over it) or pour the water into a bottle or jar that can be capped to be left overnight.
- Close your ceremony and release your sacred space, leaving the water where the moon is shining.
- Let your candle burn down.
- Be sure to collect the water BEFORE the sun rises—you don’t want the sun to touch it.
- Keep the water stored in a cool, dark place.
- You can add Vodka or Rum to prevent bacterial growth in the water (unless you plan to drink it).
Pisces Moon water can be used for psychic development, water magick, love magick, and any work you do with anything that deals with the emotional body.
Releasing Ceremony
This is an empowering ritual to let go of any past pain that might hinder your progress and growth.
You will need:
- Black candle
- Banishing incense (you can also use an elemental earth incense blend or any earth-ruled herbs as incense)
- Banishing or Cleansing Oil
- Fire-poof container, black marker & pen
- A printout of a photo representing a moment or person you are releasing – be sure you are also in the photo!
The Ceremony
- Create sacred space in your favorite method. Be sure that you have all of the ceremony components with you. You can add black obsidian and smoky quartz to your altar, as they can be helpful in this process.
- Light your incense and charge your candle using your oil. When you charge the candle, be sure your intent is clear to release your pain.
- Light your candle. Look at your photo and reflect on why you are releasing that situation or person.
- Once you have that image clear in your head, take the pen, flip the paper over, and write down everything this person or situation makes you feel you are releasing. For example, you could say, “small, incompetent, sad, klutzy, etc..”
- Once you have written down everything you are releasing, flip the photo over and use the black marker to black out any part of yourself in the picture. If the image had only an arm or leg, black it out. If the image had your face, black it out as well.
- Once all parts of you are blacked out from the picture, light it with the candle and drop it in the fire-proof container.
- Watch as it burns away, taking all those negative feelings you wrote on the paper.
- Once done, close your ceremony and let the candle burn down.
- Scatter the ashes outside your property, or you can flush the ashes down the toilet if you are not on a “well” plumbing system (you don’t want the ashes to stay on your property!)
Blessed Full Moon!
